The
CAVE (Cave Automated Virtual Environment)
Go ‘Inside’ a molecule.
View distant stars in faraway galaxies. Explore underground
caverns in volcanoes!
In this environment, you are no
longer observing data through a monitor or window. Instead
you experience the sensation of being "inside"
or immersed in the data. Images literally float in space,
allowing you to walk around them, while maintaining
the proper perspective. For instance, medical professionals
can project radiological data as three-dimensional objects
and plan intricate surgical procedures. This cubical
room provides walls and floor for screens where images
from a computer are projected with 3D effect from active
stereo glasses. This structure allows multiple viewers
to interactively immerse themselves in a virtual environment
simulation to encourage collaborative communication
and concordance. This “theatre of the future”
will provide the forum for high fidelity VR application
delivery in design and structural visualizations. The
main benefit for this elaborate configuration is the
highest fidelity rendering for up to 15 people concurrently.
Tietronix has developed various
CAVE-based applications, and can implement one for you.
We have developed CAVE applications for the following
industries:
Aerospace
Petrochemical
Military
Scientific

NOTE: Due to the file size of the
samples we recommend using a broadband connection for
faster downloads. A video card with a minimum of 16
MB RAM is recommended.
Please understand, the following
content is normally smooth and of high quality. Low
quality video cards, or slow connections to the Internet
will degrade the performance of the demonstrations and
can potentially cause unexpected or undesirable results.
If you feel the demonstration is not operating as well
as it could over the Internet, and you would like a
CD of this demonstration, please contact us at info@tietronix.com
