The Cave
Virtual Reality (VR)
is a computer-created artificial reality that immerses
the user in a 3D environment. The illusion of reality
is enhanced by sights, sounds and the interaction with
that environment.
VR has many applications in architecture
and engineering. For instance, VR allows users to walk
in and around buildings before they are built, or interact
with machines before they are manufactured. VR is also
used for education and training by allowing students
and trainees to gain experience that would otherwise
be too expensive or too dangerous. Another advantage
of this technology is that VR-based experiences may
be economically reproduced for video or website use.
Other VR applications include museum
exhibits, litigation, sales tool/demo, medical, and
real estate. For example, a real estate developer can
use VR to show both interior and exterior of a building;
or a salesperson may demonstrate the features of heavy
machinery or complex equipment through a guided tour,
thus eliminating the risk and cost of transportation
to the customer’s site.
Tietronix has the in-house expertise
to develop an affordable virtual reality application
that will meet your specific need.
