PROJECT: Workflow Tool for Flight Software Development

CHALLENGE: Produce a workflow tool that provided the flexibility needed in a development process while maintaining the structure of a process

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:
Hardware: Any Windows 2000 Server machine
Software: IIS 5.0, SQL Server 2000

SOLUTION: Produced a web-based portal which provides a development environment for the software engineer.

Results:

• Higher quality software because the project follows a development process.
• The system walks the development project through the specified process
• Flexibility to the process is built-in. Project leads have the ability to start tasks early, skip task, and redo previous tasks.
• Better accounting of bottlenecks and time spent on tasks
