CHALLENGE: Reduce the inefficiencies in the change management and configuration control of Space Station procedures.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:
Hardware: Compaq Server
Software: Microsoft NT Server, SQL Server, Internet Information Server.

SOLUTION: Develop a web-based electronic workflow and process automation system.

RESULTS:

• New workflow system allows Space Station teams around the world (international partners include Europe, Japan, Russia, Canada, Brazil) to participate in the Procedures Change Control System through the web in an easy and highly secure manner.
• Participants can access their personal "to-do list" using web browser.
• Systems significantly reduce time required to process items while creating a paperless work environment.
• Full workflow traceability and visibility through new tracking and reporting capabilities.
• End-users now notified by e-mail of new work items in personal to-do list.
