His responsibilities include identifying and developing new opportunities in technology-based training applications
for the aerospace, energy, medical, engineering and education industries.
Prior to joining Tietronix, Mr. Hughes was NASA's Chief of Space Flight Training where he headed an organization responsible
for all Shuttle and Space Station Training. Mr. Hughes spent more than 33 years at NASA where he took part in the training
and development of all U.S. space missions since 1966. His training responsibilities included both flight crews and flight
controllers.
Mr. Hughes has served various leadership positions while at NASA, such as: Head of the Ascent/Entry Training Section,
Chief of the Flight Training Branch, Chief of the Space Station Operations and Training Office, Chief of the Space
Station Training Division, and in 1993 as Chief of the Space Flight Training Division.
Mr. Hughes earned a BS in physics at St. Mary's College, California and a MS degree in environmental management at the
University of Houston, Clear Lake.
