Tigerstat was developed to teach high school and college level statistics. Tietronix developed this game in conjunction with a consortium of universities under a grant with the National Science Foundation. In the game, the student plays a game warden who is taking a census of the tiger population by using a tranquilizer gun to subdue each tiger. Measurements such as gender, weight, size, etc. are taken. The student must then analyze the data using statistics learned in the course. The data to be drawn from the population of tigers can be manipulated by the instructor for each specific lesson.
